finally we've had a day of blue skies and chavs walking round with no tops on (take i guess which i prefer)
but of course this is the essential sign that summer is coming around.
i really wasted my easter break, every day i'd get an invite to go out somewhere or another but i'd turn them down saying i was revising and then ended up watching 'two and a half men' alll day. damn american sitcoms
on the good side i sorted out all my files and actually did my work so not all was lost.
And i sorted out my itunes because i have 11gb of music but only a 4gb ipod :( boo, but one track that should be the top of anybody's playlist for the next few months = 'will smith feat jazzy jeff - summertime'

Leeds Fest
tickets come out on the 30th of march
sooo excited
last years favourite gig was between Justice and Lethal B
many special memories were made that weekend
i hope it keeps the whole electro theme this year just like 2008
Justice,
CSS,
Digitalism,
SMD
etc... were all amazing and for me the best type of music to be blasted through those million watt speakers
the thing that would make this year so much better is if it was dry
getting cramp everynight and having to sleep in a tent thats to small for me would of been alot worse....
had i not been slaughtered everytime i got into bed
but this year, things to remember:
.travel light (bare clothing essentials, 1 chair, small tent)
. cheap tent so i dont have to drag it home
. take more beer because in the arena its watered down and 3.50 a pint
. find a bag to keep beer/cider cold, warm cider tastes like piss
. remember my wellies
. take a lighter because lighting a fire with matches is pisstake
. supernoodlessssss
. ear plugs so i can camp as close to the dj caravans (they go on until 7:30)
. some jokes form of headwear or t-shirt
and errm with all that i cant really go wrong
fingers crossed this years better than ever

my shitty weekend
everything ran smoothely until today
friday was a funny night,
saturday i had the last training session of the season,
but today it went a little down hill
at 2:00pm this afternoon leeds tigers stood at the top of the north west national league.
by 4:30pm we are now 3rd and 1 spot out of making play-offs and qualifying for the north premier league next year.
premier league would of meant better competition and playing among the best basketballers under 18 in england.
it would of given me a chance of earning a reputation as a player, and given me a chance at the big stage, having scouts come watch my games
but we failed/cheated out of the game.
funny how 1 refferee had the power to either make or brake my career
not that its broken, but severly sprained.
now im back to the same starting spot i was at last year. was it a wasted 12 months?
its wierd how one weekend has made me reconsider everything i have been working towards over the last 4 years
well, not funny at all

Gap year
today upcame the topic of gap years
i want a gap year because i dont feel self motivated enough to go straight to uni
so i deffinately feel a gap year is the right thing for me
but what should i do?
if i stayed in leeds and got a job, im scared i might not want to go back to university because ill like the money too much,
i dont have enough money to go travel, but i want to
and i also want to spend quality time working on my game so i can join a good uni team
grrrr decisions decisions

nightmares
nightmares are bad dreams
dreams you do not think 'it would be nice to be true'
nightmares can range from big scary monsters
to inconveniant truths you posses, leeking to the world
truths that would change everything if they get out
apparently nightmares meen something,
they relate to problems we currently face in life
so does this mean if we do not have nightmares,
we have no problems
no secrets
and if you suffer from frequent nightmares does this mean your life is a shithole
or that u just cant face your hidden truths and secrets
either one of these options is enough to keep me up all night

Hayley's section
On the 7th of september i moved to Notre Dame college for 6th form
It took a while to get used to it but as the homework started to pile up so did the new friends.
One of my newest friends is Halyey Leanne Dunne, but she's from bradford so for the first week i thought she was called Ayley.
The first thing you think when you see this girl is how stunning she is.
After our first decent chat i realised she was alot deeper than just looks,
just like me she has a passion for music, and good music too (leeds fest buddies!)
Then the coolest thing i have ever found in a girl was her love for video games, most girls just see a playstation as a geek box but hayley doesnt, at first i didnt beleive her but it turned out to be true, she is a nerd at heart :)
we talk all the time, but we never have the same conversation twice
I could talk to her for ever.
After a fewer deep convo's i think we've connected on a deeper level, and im now pretty certain that we will stay the best of friends.
She always makes me laugh and has this energy that cheers me up when i see her round college.
and it is due to this that i love her v.much :)

Dreams
Some see dreams as an unacheivable fantasy,
something that wouldnt happen but 'would be nice'
I see a dream as my sole purpose in life,
and i should risk all costs in order to acheive
all to feel that feeling of success
that reward greater than any other, no-one can take it from you
I am petrified i wont succeed
'if you beleive and try hard enough then you cant fail'
but what if i do
did i not try or beleive in myself, do i have another chance?
It is more to do with a phobia of failure than the hunger to succeed that drives me
and makes this dream alot closer to reality
